“David Karr provides the highest white glove service to his clients. We were introduced to David through a family member. We are Americans and David not only offered to assist us in finding and purchasing a home, but also in acting as our “feet on the ground” during our purchase (i.e., meeting home inspector) given that we do not live in Costa Rica full time. We ultimately selected a house where David was also representing the seller. David was amazing throughout the whole process. In our situation, he was in a delicate position acting as the representative for both the seller and the buyer. David managed negotiations between us and the seller very professionally and smoothly, and he was very honest in telling both us and the buyer when something may not be fair or customary in a Costa Rican housing transaction. Furthermore, he was always accessible to answer our questions not only about the house, but also in educating us in how Costa Rican real estate transactions and related activities work. Moreover, David’s assistance didn’t end at the closing of our purchase. Afterwards he helped us with many things as we got ready to move into the house, including meeting many different people for needs around the house (i.e., locksmith, architects), managing initial communications with HOA and Beach Club contacts, identifying contacts for utilities, providing lists of places to shop for specific items and of course great places to eat, among other activities. We closed our transaction in approximately 30 days and moved in seamlessly approximately 3 weeks afterwards - there is no way we could have done this without David being involved and so trustworthy. We believe the key test of a great realtor is the relationship between the client and agent after the transaction closes.
